Miss New Jersey 'Looks Forward To Resuming' Role
Published: Jul 13, 2007
Miss New Jersey can keep her crown despite photos that show her acting "not in a ladylike manner."
Hours after a nervous Amy Polumbo went public Thursday with photos of herself that had been sent anonymously to pageant officials, those officials decided the pictures did not merit stripping her of the title.
"I'm very happy about this decision, and I look forward to resuming my agenda as Miss New Jersey," Polumbo said.
The pictures include one showing who Polumbo said was her boyfriend apparently biting her breast through her shirt, another of Polumbo in a limousine wearing jeans with her legs spread in the air and another of her in what appears to be a Halloween costume dress holding two small pumpkins up to her breasts.
"It's not in a ladylike manner. I'm not a robot. I'm a human being," Polumbo said.
Polumbo's lawyer said that a person or persons claiming to be The Committee to Save Miss America threatened to make the photos public unless she resigned her title.
Visnjic Tells Magazine He Had Affair
"ER" star Goran Visnjic has acknowledged that he had an extramarital affair and has agreed to take a paternity test to see whether he's the father of the woman's 4-month-old daughter, Croatian magazine Story reports.
Visnjic is being sued by Mirela Rupic, a 36-year-old Croatian woman who claims the actor is the child's father.
The affair "is not something that I'm proud of, of course," Visnjic told the magazine, according to the Associated Press. "But I am ready to accept all the consequences of my act."
Visnjic, 34, has been married to Ivana Vrdoljak since 1999, and the couple adopted a son named Tin this spring.
Visnjic tells the magazine he "remembers nothing" from his night with Rupic because he was jet-lagged and had consumed alcohol. He says the encounter happened while he was alone on vacation last summer.

Whitaker is the voice of Moses in "Inspired By ... The Bible Experience: Old Testament," officials said.
The Bible, to be released in November on 72 CDs and on iTunes, features an all-black cast, officials said. The performances are set to a musical score performed by the Prague Symphony Orchestra.

The actress, 29, says she plans to travel to a dozen countries, including China and Brazil, to "study people, social classes, history, culture" before finishing her designs for Ishkadada.
Rodriguez made the comments on the Sony channel's "It's Midday in China" program that aired across Latin America this week.
